Hello students and parents! I am so excited to be spending another wonderful year teaching at Matsuyama! 

My husband and I are originally from Salinas. We relocated here in 2001 and shortly after our move, our families followed us. We love watching the Kings and River Cats, eating out downtown, and being close to the rivers.

Aside from being a teacher, I am a wife and mom.  My daughter, Mia, is in college and my son, Maddox, is a junior in High School. I enjoy watching my kids play sports, gardening, cooking, and spending time with my family and pets.

How do I order books from Scholastic?
Two ways to order

Mrs. Kyle Porto

1. Online: go to www.scholastic.com and use our class’s access code (J2BLX). You can use a debit or credit card and nothing needs to be sent to school with your child.  When I go into place our order, everything I need will be right there.

2. Class: Send your child to school with a completed order form and a check made out to “Scholastic Book Club” for the entire amount of your order. If you are ordering from more than one club, please combine the totals and write one check.  I prefer you not to send cash to school.
